Hunterston Brooch
This piece is called the "Hunterston" as it is a likeness of an ancient Celtic brooch found near Hunterston on the west coast of Scotland. The decorative pin in fixed in place with a functional pin at the back of the brooch to fasten it to the garment.
The original is in the National Museum of Edinburgh.
