Celtic Crosses
With the arrival of Christianity in Ireland came the age of the Monasteries. Many of these new holy sites were marked by the presence of the High Crosses. They depicted many scenes and teachings from the Bible. The Crosses still stand today and are to be found in Monasterboyne, Kells, Moone and Clonmacnoise.
