Jersey Pottery Fruits de Mer
Artist Richard Bramble
Born in London in 1968, Richard went on to attend Sherborne School, Dorset with an art scholarship. In 1986 he gained a place at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Since graduating in 1990 he has worked full time as a fine artist, with his work appearing in numerous exhibitions around the country and in various private and corporate collections.
Since 1995 he has worked with the top Michelin starred chefs in the U.K, creating a range of ingredient and wine paintings and handmade limited edition prints. In 1997 he was commissioned by Gordon Ramsay to design a dress plate for his restaurant at the time, Aubergine. In 1998 this collaboration led to the publication of The Star Chefs Cookbook, incorporating Richard's paintings and the chefs' famous signature dishes.
In 2000 he embarked on a new creative direction with a commission from Jersey Pottery to create a range of pottery with a seafood theme. Fruits de Mer is the delightful result, featuring Richard's distinctive watercolors of Lobster, Fish, Crabs, Mussels & Scallops. As you can see from the photo at left, Richard does personal research on his subjects. We also carry Richard's Cheese Plates.
