Demeter 83/8 - 8"h - $486 During 2007, the Moorcroft Collectors’ Club celebrated its first 20-year anniversary. Founded in the spring of 1987 it has, since its conception, offered members an annual opportunity to acquire an exclusive piece of Moorcroft. This year the honour of designing the annual Collectors’ Club vase fell to Moorcroft’s youngest designer, Emma Bossons. Demeter is a new and unusual vase with a classical, rounded body and slim neck which moves to an unusual angle at the rim. Demeter is only available to Club members during 2008. Demeter is the second in a series of three Soli Fleur Collectors’ Club vases. Its predecessor was Persephone. The final Soli Fleur vase in the series will also have a flower motif as the central design feature with a narrow neck designed to hold and display that favourite single flower. This piece is available to Moorcroft Collectors Club members only. Orders must be accompanied by Membership name and number or an application for new membership. |
