Welcome to our Nicholas Mosse Gallery
The joy of Nicholas Mosse Pottery is in collecting it, displaying it, using it & sharing it. Sharing usually means giving a piece to a friend - which often sparks the beginning of another collection. We thought it would be fun to let our customers share their collections with each other. Send us your photos to show us how you enjoy your pottery. As is the case with all galleries, this one will be a work in progress.

I still remember my first piece of Nicholas Mosse pottery, a Landscape cylinder jug. I found it at an Irish shop in Cold Spring, New York. I walked into the store and fell in love. I started with the Landscape pattern, but graduated to collecting all the patterns. When I started, my son was a baby. Every time we'd go to Cold Spring, I would buy another Nicolas Mosse piece. My son and my collection slowly but surely grew bigger as the years passed. I have enough pieces to manage eight place settings, plus extras including some signed pieces. My son said just today that if the cabinet I have my collection in ever collapsed or fell or anything, it'd be really bad. Isn't that nice of him to say? Boys! - Margaret Chess with son, Eli.

I am proud to show you my collection of Nicholas Mosse Pottery. My girlfriend, Diane Comis (on the left), introduced me to this pottery last year and I absolutely fell in love with it. My favorite is the Landscape pattern because it reminds me of the country. My kids, Erika (4) and Alexander (2) love it too, because it teaches them about all the different types of farm animals. Aside from displaying it on my dish dresser, I love to entertain with it and always receives plenty of compliments due to its originality. My husband makes fun of me because I'm so obsessed with my collection, but I compare it to his obsession with Porcshes!
Thank you, Linda Clifford, for having such a large inventory to enable me to eventually complete the landscape pattern.
Cheers,
Maria Maskobi - Proud Nicholas Mosse Collector!
