The Paisley Collection
The Paisley design originated from motifs representing the plant form of the date palm in Babylon over 2,000 years ago. This "Tree of Life" provided the fundamental necessities of food and shelter. It also represented the beginning of growth and a symbol of fertility. The leaf design has been used by many civilizations for decoration. From the late 1700s, shawls with this design were made in Paisley, Scotland. They became very sought after and fashionable. As a result of their enormous success, the design became known as the Paisley Pattern. Sheila's interpretation of the Paisley leaf into jewelry reflects the intricate original pattern in a contemporary way.
Offered in Sterling Silver with Glacier Blue Enamel or 9k Yellow Gold. Made in Scotland.
