Sheila Fleet "Standing Stones" Collection Made in Scotland
Continuing to draw inspiration from the Orkney landscape, Sheila Fleet has created the Standing Stones Range. No one knows what really inspired people around 3000 BC to raise these giant megaliths. Orkney's "Ring of Brodgar" & "Stones of Stenness" are among the best known stone circles in the world. Many superstitions and beliefs surround these giant stones which remind us of times past. Sheila's own romantic thoughts are that they were a sort of clock to mark times and seasons which were important for stone age man, a world which remains a mystery.
