 Only if the tweed fabric meets the specification of the Harris Tweed Authority can the Orb label be granted. It is protected by an Act of Parliament. Every jacket carries the Orb label with a reference number which relates to the weaver that produced the tweed.

If it doesn't carry the Orb, it isn't genuine Harris Tweed fabric.
