The design of the Celtic Warrior Ring is based on the Ardagh Chalice, considered to be the finest specimen of Celtic art ever found. The Chalice, c. 800-899 AD, is made of silver, silver gilt & enamel. It was discovered in 1868 by a small boy digging for potatoes. The Ardagh Chalice is on display at the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin. |
